Notice on the Latest Requirements for the Health Code Applications For All China-bound Passengers Departing from Thailand

  In accordance with the latest COVID-19 prevention and control requirements of the Chinese government, starting from June 30, 2022, the requirements for the health code application of the Chinese Embassy in Thailandfor China-bound passengers departing from Thailand are as follows:

1. Requirements for the Health Code Applications

All China-bound passengers departing from Thailand are required to apply for the Health Code. Since the nucleic acid rt-PCR tests service are not available in the international transit area at the airports in Thailand, the Chinese Embassy/Consulates will not review the Health Code applications of the passengers who transit without entry via Thailand. 

2. Tests Requirements before Boarding

2.1. Ordinary China-bound passengers

    Taking two nucleic acid rt-PCR tests within 48 hours before boarding in two different medical institutions officially registered in Thailand. The sampling time of two tests should be at least 24 hours intervals, and at least one nucleic acid test should be within 24 hours before the flight departure time.

    For example, if the flight departure time is 3 p.m. on June 30, the first sampling time of the test within 48 hours before boarding should be anytime on June 28 and the second sampling time of the test within 24 hours before departure time should be after 3 p.m. on June 29. Thus, the sampling time of the two tests will be at intervals of more than 24 hours.

2.2. Passengers with infection history, close contacts with confirmed cases or passengers with suspicious symptoms

2.2.1. Passengers with COVID-19 infection history, includingpassengers who was diagnosed as a COVID-19 confirmed case or tested positive for nucleic acid rt-PCR test, should provide the negative results of two nucleic acid rt-PCR tests with a sampling interval of over 24 hours at medical institutions officially registered in Thailand. 14 days after receiving the test reports (counting from the second nucleic acid rt-PCR sample collection date), passengers could follow the procedure as ordinary China-bound passengers to proceed with the nucleic acid rt-PCR test before boarding (See in article 2.1).

    2.2.2. Passengers who closely contacted with confirmed cases or with suspicious symptoms are required to undergo health monitoring for 5 days. If there is no abnormality, passengers could follow the procedure as ordinary China-bound passengers to proceed with the nucleic acid rt-PCR test before boarding (See in article 2.1).

    3. Medical Institutions and Tests Reports Requirements

3.1. A test report issued by medical institutions officially registered in Thailand is acceptable. For the convenience of applicants, please see the list of medical institutions in the consular district and recommended by Chinese Embassy in Thailand with the link below:

    For medical institutions in other Chinese Consulates Generals’ consular districts, please check on the website of the Chinese Consulate Generals in Chiang Mai, Songkhla, and Khon kaen.

    3.2. Applicants must bring a valid ID or travel documents when processing the nucleic acid rt-PCR tests at medical institutions.  The method of nucleic acid rt-PCR tests must be nasopharyngeal swab and explicitly marked on the test reports in English.

4. Applications for Health Code

    4.1. How to apply

4.1.1. Chinese passengers, please apply through “International Version of Epidemic Prevention Health Code” via WeChat or scan the following QR code, fill in and submit the application.


    

 4.1.2. Foreign passengers, please apply for the health declaration certificatethrough the website of https://hrhk.cs.mfa.gov.cn/H5/.

    4.2. Application Documents

    4.2.1. all the required test reports.

    4.2.2. air tickets or flight itineraries from Thailand to China.

5. Verification of the Health Code Applications

5.1. The Chinese Embassy/Consulates will verify the tests results with related medical institutions. Passengers are strongly advised to apply for the Health Code immediately after obtaining test reports. Applications submitted within 3 hours before boarding may not be verified and approved in time.

    5.2. Applicants must submit the test reports truthfully, clearly and completely. Falsification of documents will cause the eligibility to apply for a health code to be suspended.

    5.3. The airline company will verify and check the health code and nucleic acid rt-PCR tests reports at the check-in counter.

    5.3.1. Passengers should sign in the Wechat APP, and present the dynamic green health code with “HDC” mark within its validity period to the airlines for checking. Screen-shots, printed versions or other forms of health code cannot be accepted.

    5.3.2. Passengers should present the original print-out nucleic acid rt-PCR tests reports. Only those who have negative results will be allowed to board the flight.

    The Chinese Embassy in Thailand advises all China-bound passengers to conduct personal health monitoring before boarding and during the journey to prevent infection or overstay caused by infection during transit.
