In order to further consolidate the consensus on China-Thailand economic and trade development cooperation, tap potentials in trade and investment, and push the economic and trade cooperation between the two countries to a higher level, the Chinese Embassy and the Board of Trade of Thailand took the lead in conducting joint study on China-Thailand trade and investment.

On April 28, the launching ceremony of China-Thailand trade and investment joint study work was held by video conference. Ten guests including Ambassador Han Zhiqiang and Chairman of the Board of Trade of Thailand Sanan Angubolkul delivered speeches at the meeting,the two sides also announced the list of the joint study steering committee.The joint study work will comb through and analyze the current situation, problems, causes and potential of China-Thailand economic and trade cooperation through forums, seminars and inspections, put forward scientific and feasible suggestions that are in line with China-Thailand economic and trade cooperation.The joint study team is composed of renowned experts from Yunnan University, China International Economic Consulting Co., Ltd. and Chulalongkorn University. The competent government departments of China and Thailand will give guidance to the study work.

Representatives from Asia Department of Ministry of Commerce of China , Department of Commerce of Yunnan Province,Yunnan Representative Office in Thailand, (Bangkok) , the Board of Trade of Thailand, Thailand Ministry of Commerce, the Board of Investment in Thailand , as well as Chulalongkorn University, Yunnan University and China International Economic Consulting Co., Ltd. attended the meeting.
