On the eve of the founding day of the Chinese People's Liberation Army, H.E. General Prayut Chan-o-cha, Prime Minister and Minister of Defence of the Kingdom of Thailand, and General Ponpipaat Benyasri, Chief of Defence Forces of the Royal Thai Armed Forces, wrote congratulatory letters respectively to H.E. General Wei Fenghe, State Councilor, Member of China's Central Military Commission and Minister of National Defense of the People's Republic of China, and General Li Zuocheng, Member of China's Central Military Commission and Chief of Joint Staff Department under China's Central Military Commission, to celebrate the 93rd anniversary of the founding of the Chinese People's Liberation Army. H.E. General Prayut Chan-o-cha said that the Royal Thai Armed Forces and the Chinese People's Liberation Army share a very close and special relationship, a brotherhood of mutual respect and trust. Over the years, the Chinese People's Liberation Army has played a vital role in promoting cooperation and providing assistance in the region. Thailand is looking forward to building strategic partnership with China. General Ponpipaat Benyasri said that the Royal Thai Armed Forces is willing to further strengthen the existing friendship and cooperation with the Chinese People's Liberation Army.
