Hong Kong Special Administrative Region Chief Executive Lam Cheng Yuet-ngor Visits Thailand

From 27 to 28 February, the Chief Executive of the Hong Kong Special Administrative Region, Lam Cheng Yuet-ngor, led a delegation to Thailand to attend the opening ceremony of the Hong Kong Economic and Trade Office in Bangkok. Ambassador Lyu Jian met with Chief Executive Lam Cheng Yuet-ngor and accompanied her to attend relevant activities.

Ambassador Lyu congratulated the establishment of the Hongkong SAR Economic and Trade Office in Bangkok and said that Hongkong SAR has unique advantages and has close cooperation with Thailand and other Southeast Asian countries. It is believed that Hongkong SAR can seize important opportunities such as "belt and road" and the Guangdong-Hong Kong-Macao Greater Bay Area, and continue to create new prospects for economic and trade cooperation between Thailand and Southeast Asian countries. Chief Executive Lam Cheng Yuet-ngor thanked the Embassy for its valuable assistance in the cooperation between the Hongkong SAR Government and Thailand, especially for its strong support for the establishment of the Hong Kong's economic and Trade Office in Thailand. It is believed that with the strong backing of the motherland, Hong Kong-Thailand cooperation will surely reach a new level.

The Hong Kong Economic and Trade Office in Bangkok was officially established on 28 February, which is the third economic and trade office of Hongkong SAR Government in ASEAN countries.
