On March 11, Chinese Ambassador Zhang Jianwei attended the closing ceremony and send-off for the 23rd group of international Chinese language volunteer teachers who had traveled to Thailand back to the People's Republic of China. The event was attended by Somdej Phra Maha Ratchamongkol Muni (Thongchai Dhammachot), Dr. Suthep Kaengsanthia, Permanent Secretary of the Ministry of Education, representatives from the Ministry of Higher Education, Science, Research and Innovation, school and university administrators, and over 600 volunteer teachers.

Ambassador Zhang expressed his gratitude to the volunteers for their successful completion of their mission in Thailand, commending their efforts in teaching the language, disseminating culture, and demonstrating the spirit of volunteerism through their actions. He praised them for showcasing a bright and creative image of Chinese youth and encouraged them to use their experiences and development in Thailand as inspiration for continued progress, leveraging their youthful energy to promote language exchange, mutual understanding and trust, and cultural exchange between China and Thailand. Ambassador Zhang also thanked the China Foreign Language Exchange and Cooperation Center and all sectors of Chinese and Thai society for their care and support of the international Chinese language teacher volunteers.

Before the start of the event, Ambassador Zhang and His Holiness Somdej Phra Maha Ratchamongkol Muni had a cordial conversation with representatives of the outstanding volunteers.
