On March 17, H.E. Zhang Jianwei, Chinese Ambassador to Thailand, attended and delivered a keynote address at a seminar at Rangsit University on the topic of "Strategic Cooperation between China and Thailand in the New World Order: Common Challenges and Opportunities." Dr. Pichayaphan Charnbhumidol, Advisor to the Minister of Foreign Affairs of Thailand and Vice President of Rangsit University, along with over 100 scholars, faculty members, and students from both China and Thailand, participated in the event.

Ambassador Zhang highlighted the spirit of the National People's Congress and the Chinese People's Political Consultative Conference (NPC and CPPCC), stating that the world today faces severe challenges to peace and development. The 15th Five-Year Plan (2016-2020) has drawn a new blueprint for China's development and also provides new opportunities for global development. China will continue to firmly follow the path of peaceful development, promote high-quality development, and pursue high-level opening-up. China is willing to strengthen comprehensive strategic cooperation with Thailand, deepen and solidify the building of a China-Thailand community with a shared future, benefit both countries and their people, and contribute to regional peace, development, and prosperity.

Dr. Pichayaphan Charnbhumidol stated that the current international situation is complex and volatile, and he sincerely hopes that Thailand and China should further strengthen their friendship, enhance strategic coordination and concrete cooperation, and jointly address various risks and challenges.
