On April 22, Ambassador Zhang Jianwei met with Ekanat Promphan,Thai Minister of Energy.

Ambassador Zhang stated that China and Thailand have strong alignment in the green development concepts with growing opportunities for energy cooperation. China is willing to work with Thailand to make full use of the benefits of bilateral cooperation mechanisms to jointly promote green energy transition for promotion of the comprehensive strategic partnership between China and Thailand.

Ekanat Promphan highly praised the energy cooperation between Thailand and China, stating that amidst the global energy security challenges arising from the situation in the Middle East, the Thai government will increase investment in energy security, accelerate the promotion of clean energy, and is ready to strengthen energy cooperation with China for the greater benefit of the Thai people.
