Ambassador Zhang Jianwei visited  and delivered a speech to nearly 300 participants of the 68th Senior Studies Course of the National Defence College of Thailand on May 12.

Ambassador Zhang’s speech entitled "The World, Asia and China-Thailand Relations Amid Profound Changes", focused on the global situation amid profound changes unseen in a century, China’s neighborhood foreign policy, China-Thailand relations, and the important opportunities China’s high-quality development brings to Thailand. He emphasized that the current international situation is intertwined with changes and turmoil, and China is willing to remain a mainstay amid global turbulence and a cornerstone for global development. During the Q&A session, Ambassador Zhang elaborated on Xi Jinping Thought on Diplomacy, briefed the 15th Five-Year Plan. He stressed that China stands ready to strengthen practical cooperation with Thailand in various fields, promote high-quality development of both countries and the Belt and Road Initiative, and advance the building of a China-Thailand community with a shared future for more achievements.
