The 16th World Chinese Entrepreneurs Convention was held in Bangkok, the capital of Thailand, from June 24th to 26th. More than 4000 Chinese business representatives from over 50 countries and regions worldwide attended the event. The conference focused on the theme of “Creating a New Chapter Together with Chinese Business Acumen”. It featured a variety of rich and colorful activities such as seminars, discussions and visits, which led to fruitful results. Gao Yunlong, Vice Chairman of the National Committee of the Chinese People’s Political Consultative Conference and Chairman of the All-China Federation of Industry and Commerce, Chen Xu, Director of the Overseas Chinese Affairs Office of the State Council of China, Wan Lijun, Chairman of the All-China Federation of Returned Overseas Chinese, Lu Guoyi, Vice Chairman and Secretary General of the Central Committee of the Zhigong Party, Surayud Chulanon, Chairman of the Privy Council of Thailand, Pornpetch Wichitcholchai, President of the Senate, Anutin Charnvirakul, Deputy Prime Minister of the Cabinet, Jurin Laksanavisit, Deputy Prime Minister of the Cabinet and others attended the opening and closing ceremonies of the conference.

Ambassador Han Zhiqiang was invited to deliver a speech at the closing ceremony, where he spoke positively about the significant role played by Chinese businessmen worldwide in promoting economic development globally. He highly appreciated the World Chinese Entrepreneurs Convention for gathering wisdom and strength for the development of Chinese businesses, which in turn contributed to the world’s economic recovery. This convention marked a new milestone in the history of Chinese businessmen exchanges and development worldwide. Ambassador Han Zhiqiang expressed his hope for Chinese businessmen to share a common destiny with their mother country, working together towards the rejuvenation of the Chinese nation and contributing to the development of the global economy. Furthermore, he looked forward to the deepening and expansion of mutually beneficial cooperation between Chinese businessmen from around the world and Thailand, contributing to the prosperity and development in Thailand.

The 16th World Chinese Entrepreneurs Convention, which spanned three days, is nearing its successful conclusion. On behalf of the Chinese Embassy in Thailand, I would like to extend warm congratulations on the successful organization of this convention! I would also like to convey sincere greetings to the more than 4000 attendees from over 50 countries and regions around the world. Furthermore, I would like to express heartfelt thanks to the Thai-Chinese Chamber of Commerce for their meticulous efforts in leading the preparations for this convention!

The theme of this convention, “Creating a New Chapter Together with Chinese Business Acumen,” aimed to gather wisdom and strength for the development of global Chinese business. It also aimed to add momentum and vitality to the global economic recovery. The convention has  achieved a series of fruitful results, marking yet another significant milestone in the history of global Chinese business exchange and development.

This grand event showcases the sentiments of Chinese businessmen worldwide. The attending Chinese businessmen uphold the remarkable tradition of governing the country and benefiting the world with righteousness, demonstrating a broad global perspective. Dedicated to creating opportunities in changing circumstances and nurturing hope in times of crises, the convention reflects the invaluable spirit of the global Chinese business community, which is characterized by fearlessness in the face of challenges and a determination to forge ahead, utilizing economic development for the benefit of the world..

This grand event showcases the wisdom of Chinese businessmen worldwide. In the current complex and challenging global economic landscape, where the world economy is experiencing a sluggish recovery and unilateralism and cold war thinking prevails, the attending Chinese businessmen advocate for the formation of new consensus on open and inclusive development, aiming to create a “big stage” for win-win cooperation, forging a new blueprint for collaborative and inclusive progress. By contributing Oriental wisdom to global economic development, you are injecting positive energy into a troubled world.

This event aims to broaden the horizons of Chinese businessmen worldwide. With a focus on major strategies such as the “the Belt and Road” initiative, the construction of the Guangdong–Hong Kong–Macao Greater Bay Area, as well as the potential of new industries and formats like green development and digital space transformation, attending Chinese businessmen engaged in detailed discussions and reached cooperative agreements. I believe by taking opportunity of this convention, Chinese businessmen around the globe will better capitalize on their unique strengths, leverage their resources, explore new frontiers in the fields of economy and technology and achieving remarkable new successes.

This is a grand event aimed at enhancing the friendship among Chinese businessmen around the world. Chinese businessmen worldwide are like one big family, united by their shared Chinese sentiment. Despite coming from different countries and working in different professions, the attending Chinese businessmen quickly became familiar with each other upon meeting. This is because we share the same cultural genes, ethnic roots, and a deep emotional resonance that runs through our veins. Over the course of three days, we not only exchanged information and viewpoints, but also formed lasting friendships and even familial bonds. I firmly believe that regardless of where Chinese businessmen may be, they will gain the tremendous power to courageously move forward and make progress, derived from this rich cultural heritage and sense of spiritual belonging.

This is a grand event that showcases the vibrant energy of young Chinese businessmen around the world. Throughout the convention, a significant presence of young Chinese businessmen was evident, actively participating both on stage and behind the scenes. Moreover, a special Youth Chinese Business Forum was held, emphasizing the importance of involving more young individuals. As the number of young participants continues to grow, the global Chinese business community will flourish and ensure a prosperous future.

The 16th World Chinese Entrepreneurs Convention is closing. For all the participant entrepreneurs, tomorrow you will depart for home, but the wisdom, vision, and friendship pooled here will always be your spiritual wealth and be with you every step of the way as you confidently stride towards a brighter future.

Thailand, a beautiful, prosperous, and welcoming country, has witnessed the remarkable entrepreneurial stories of Chinese businessmen over thousands of years. They not only bring benefits to Thai people but also contribute significantly to China’s development. As the Chinese Ambassador to Thailand, it is my wish that all Chinese businessmen worldwide will shared a common destiny and work together to advance the great cause of the rejuvenation of the Chinese nation. I also look forward that global Chinese entrepreneurs will deepen and expand mutually beneficial cooperation in Thailand and boosting the prosperity of this nation.
