Notice on the Adjusted Requirements for the Health Code Applications for Passengers with Covid-19 Infection History

In accordance with the latest COVID-19 prevention and control requirement of the Chinese government, passengers who have been diagnosed with COVID-19 infection or have been tested positive for either Nucleic acid test or IgM/IgG antibody test (not including positive antibody test caused by vaccination) should truthfully report their infection history and testing results to the Chinese Embassy/Consulates, and refer to the following requirements while applying for the Health Code:

1. Passengers should get medical certificates including Chest CT or X-ray reports (The certificates must indicate that there is no abnormality in the lungs or the person has recovered from COVID-19) issued by local accredited hospitals in Thailand, and take Nucleic acid tests twice with a sampling interval of over 24 hours at medical institutions recognized by the Chinese Embassy/Consulates and the two tests results must be negative.

6 weeks after receiving the medical certificates and the tests reports (42 days, counting from the latest sample collection date), passengers could continue the following procedures to apply for the Health Code.

2. Passengers should take COVID-19 Nucleic acid tests twice with a sampling interval of over 24 hours at two different medical institutions recognized by the Chinese Embassy/Consulate. The sample collection date of the second test must be 14 days before boarding.

3. After receiving two negative Nucleic acid tests reports, passengers should conduct 14 days personal health monitoring and fill in the Personal Health Monitoring Form.

4. Before boarding test 

a)Passengers who have fully received inactivated COVID-19 vaccines such as Sinovac and Sinopharm are required to take two RT-PCR tests within 72 hours and 48 hours before departure. The two RT-PCR tests at an interval of over 24 hours are required to be conducted by two different medical institutions recognized by the Chinese Embassy/Consulates in Thailand.

b)Passengers who have fully received non-inactivated COVID-19 vaccines such as Pfizer, Johnson and Johnson, Moderna, CanSino, AstraZeneca, Biontech, Zhifei Longcom, are required to take RT-PCR test and N-protein IgM& IgG antibody tests within 48 hours. The RT-PCR test and N-protein IgM antibody tests must be negative. 

c)Unvaccinated passengers are required to take RT-PCR test and IgM& IgG antibody tests within 48 hours. The RT-PCR test and IgM antibody tests must be negative.

5. Children under 14 years old and pregnant women are not required to take a Chest CT or X-ray.

The notice is effective from January 31, 2022.
