To further facilitate visa applicants, Chinese visa authorities abroad will exempt all applicants for short-term visas (staying for less than 180 days) from fingerprints collection as of this date to December 31, 2026.

For applicants of visa types D, J1, Q1, S1, X1 and Z, who need to apply for residence permits after entering the country, fingerprints will still be collected as required.
