On December 18, Ambassador Zhang Jianwei met with Attorney General of Thailand Mr.Itthiporn Kaewtip, to congratulate him on his new appointment and exchange views on China-Thailand judicial cooperation.

Ambassador Zhang stated that His Majesty King Vajiralongkorn made a successful state visit to China. The two heads of state gave guidance for the future development of China-Thailand relations. China-Thailand judicial and law enforcement cooperation has yielded fruitful results, with the successful extradition of serious criminal suspects including Zhou Jinghua and She Zhijiang this year. Ambassador Zhang expressed his appreciation for the strong support and assistance from the Thai prosecution. China is comprehensively advancing the rule of law in accordance with Xi Jinping's thought on the rule of law, adhering to scientific legislation, strict law enforcement, impartial justice, and universal law-abidingness. China is ready to strengthen exchanges of experience and pragmatic cooperation with the Thai prosecution in the judicial field, pushing China-Thailand relations to a new level.

Attorney General Itthiporn Kaewtip welcomed Ambassador Zhang's visit, expressing his willingness to learn from China's experience in governing the country according to law, strengthen exchanges and cooperation and personnel exchanges, expedite key extradition cases, jointly combat transnational crimes such as online scam. Attorney General Itthiporn Kaewtip looked forward to visiting China at an early date.
