On January 13, Ambassador Zhang Jianwei met with a delegation led by Mr. Krittidech Yoorod, President of the Thai Durian Association.

Ambassador Zhang stated that durian is an important agricultural product of Thailand and its largest export to China. The Chinese government attaches great importance to the quality and safety of imported agricultural products and hopes that the Thai Durian Association will effectively strengthen the management of the entire durian industry chain. China welcomes more high-quality Thai durian exports to China and is willing to continue close cooperation with Thailand to jointly promote the healthy and orderly development of Sino-Thai durian trade.

Mr. Krittidech Yoorod, President of the Thai Durian Association stated that China is Thailand's most important export market for durians, and the Thai government, relevant associations, businesses, and fruit farmers all attach great importance to the quality and safety of durians exported to China. The Thai Durian Association will continue to do its utmost to ensure that durians exported to China meet Chinese regulatory requirements and food safety standards.
