On December 12, Ambassador Han Zhiqiang of the People's Republic of China and his wife Wang Huan attended the ceremony where King Maha Vajiralongkorn and Queen Suthida of Thailand paid homage to the Buddha Tooth Relic from Beijing Lingguang Temple. During the ceremony, King Vajiralongkorn personally lit the eternal lamp, which was then placed in the pavilion housing the Buddha Tooth Relic. The King and Queen humbly knelt before the pavilion to offer their devout prayers, while monks chanted sutras for blessings.

Also attending the ceremony were Vice President of the Chinese Buddhist Association and Abbot of Beijing Lingguang Temple, Master Changzang, along with Thai Prime Minister Paetongtarn Shinawatra, Deputy Prime Minister and Minister of Defense Phumtham Wechayachai, Deputy Prime Minister and Minister of Transport Suriya Jungrungreangkit, Deputy Prime Minister and Minister of Finance Pichai Chunhavajira, and other distinguished guests.
