Ambassador Zhang Jianwei received donations from the Thai side for flood relief in Guangxi on behalf of the Red Cross Society of China at the Thai Red Cross Society on July 31.

Ambassador Zhang expressed his appreciation to the Thai Red Cross for its valuable assistance, noting that China and Thailand stand together through thick and thin in times of crisis, vividly demonstrating the profound friendship of "China and Thailand are as close as one family." China is willing to continue strengthening communication and cooperation with the Thai Red Cross to make greater contributions to improving the well-being of the people of both countries.

Tej Boonna, Secretary General of the Thai Red Cross stated that the people of the two countries are as close as family members, and Thailand is concerned about the people in the disaster-stricken areas of Guangxi. He hopes that the donations will convey confidence and strength to the victims and help the disaster-stricken areas resume normal production and life as soon as possible.
