As economic, trade, and investment cooperation between China and Thailand continues to deepen, an increasing number of Chinese enterprises and citizens are investing and doing business in Thailand, making positive contributions to Thailand's economic and social development and practical cooperation between China and Thailand. To promote lawful, compliant, healthy, orderly, and sustainable investment and operations in Thailand, the Chinese Embassy in Thailand reminds Chinese enterprises and citizens of the following:
I. Adhere to lawful and compliant operations. Strictly comply with relevant regulations of the Chinese government regarding overseas investment, fully understand and strictly abide by Thai laws and regulations concerning foreign business operations, investment, standards and certification, and handle approval, permit, and registration procedures in accordance with the law. Standardize the company's equity structure, and do not circumvent regulatory requirements such as foreign investment access through nominal shareholders or false capital contributions, and do not conduct business activities beyond the approved scope.
2. Manage labor management. Strictly abide by Chinese government regulations on entry and exit management and Thai immigration and labor laws. Chinese and other foreign employees should obtain the appropriate visas and work permits according to their work and status in Thailand, avoiding unauthorized work, exceeding permitted scope,or working under inappropriate status such as tourist visas. Personnel traveling to Thailand for business negotiations, technical services, or similar activities should also understand and legally complete the relevant procedures in advance, based on the actual circumstances.
3. Deepen local industrial collaboration. Strengthen cooperation with Thai partners in areas such as industrial integration, technology research and development, human resource training, and market expansion, practicing the principle of "operating in Thai for Thai." Actively participate in public welfare and community involvement, recruit Thai employees and provide training, enhance localization in employment and talent cultivation, and promote technology exchange and transformation of scientific and technological achievements.
4. Actively fulfill social responsibilities. Respect Thai laws, culture, religion, and social customs; attach great importance to workplace safety and environmental protection; strengthen communication with local governments, communities, and social organizations where projects are located. Proactively understand and respond to reasonable concerns. Actively join the Chinese Enterprises Association in Thailand and other business associations such as the Thai Chamber of Commerce and the Federation of Thai Industries to expand exchanges and cooperation and jointly maintain a positive image for Chinese enterprises.
5. Respond to disputes lawfully and rationally. When facing online public opinion or social attention related to the enterprise, respond in a legal and rational manner. When legitimate rights and interests are infringed upon, or there are objections to relevant administrative enforcement actions, preserve relevant evidence properly. If necessary, file complaints through Thai official or legal channels and promptly seek consular protection and assistance from the Chinese Embassy or Consulates in Thailand.
